✅ Choose a quiet, distraction-free area to begin training.
🐶 Get your dog’s attention with a calm voice and a treat in hand.
✋ Hold the treat close to your dog’s nose, letting them smell it but not take it.
↗️ Slowly move the treat upward and slightly back, guiding your dog’s head to look up — this naturally shifts their weight back into a sitting position.
⬇️ As their bottom touches the ground, say the command “Sit” clearly and calmly.
🎉 Immediately reward with the treat and gentle praise (“Good sit!”) once they sit.
🔁 Repeat 5–10 times per session, keeping sessions short (5–10 minutes).
📆 Practice daily, gradually reducing the treat and using praise or affection instead.
🌳 Add distractions slowly, practicing in different environments to generalize the behavior.
🧘 Stay calm and patient — energy matters more than words.
